"The Woods"

Although Mary worked in a creative field for many years, she didn’t start painting until retirement. Self-taught, she began using digital tools, Corel Painter and a Wacom tablet and pen to mimic traditional painting. Her works begin with a sketch on a blank computer screen or by playing with colours to see what emerges. Most of her paintings do not use photographic references but come from her imagination.
Mary has her work professionally printed on high quality canvas. Each piece is painted in high resolution, so they may be custom printed in proportional sizes. Mary’s award-winning work has been showcased in several exhibitions and outlets across central Vancouver Island.
